Carta bianca agli ottoni: Grandi maestri e giovani promesse

Il concerto offre un’immersione nel mondo degli ottoni, combinando l’energia di solisti affermati con il talento fresco dei giovani studenti dell’Academy, accompagnati dal prestigioso Pucela Brass Quintet.

Frits Damrow, docente alla Zürcher Hochschule der Künste con una carriera da solista internazionale, Peter Steiner, trombonista italiano di fama mondiale vincitore del Concorso Tchaikovsky 2019, e Ricardo Carvalhoso, prima tuba dei Münchner Philharmoniker, attualmente docente stimato alla Haute École de Musique di Ginevra, completano il trio di solisti. Il Pucela Brass Quintet, con una lunga esperienza concertistica, arricchisce la serata con un suono giovanile equilibrato e raffinato. Accanto a loro, giovani musicisti selezionati tra i partecipanti alle masterclass di ottoni dell'Academy.

Il programma del concerto è il risultato di un percorso di apprendimento di altissimo livello artistico. Una celebrazione dello spirito di Ticino Musica nell'ultima serata del Festival 2025, con le grandi emozioni che gli ottoni sanno dare, dalla contemplazione meditativa all'esuberanza e ironia.

Carte blanche für die Blechbläser: Große Meister und junge Talente

Das Konzert bietet ein Eintauchen in die Welt der Blechblasinstrumente und verbindet die Energie etablierter Solisten mit dem frischen Talent junger Studenten der Academy, begleitet vom renommierten Pucela Brass Quintet.

Frits Damrow, Dozent an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste mit einer internationalen Solokarriere, Peter Steiner, weltbekannter italienischer Posaunist und Gewinner des Tschaikowsky-Wettbewerbs 2019, und Ricardo Carvalhoso, erster Tuba-Spieler der Münchner Philharmoniker und derzeit angesehener Dozent an der Haute École de Musique in Genf, vervollständigen das Solisten-Trio. Das Pucela Brass Quintet, das auf eine langjährige Konzerterfahrung zurückblicken kann, bereichert den Abend mit einem ausgewogenen und raffinierten jugendlichen Klang. An ihrer Seite treten junge Musiker auf, die aus den Teilnehmern der Meisterkurse für Blechbläser der Academy ausgewählt wurden.

Das Konzertprogramm ist das Ergebnis eines Lernprozesses auf höchstem künstlerischen Niveau. Eine Feier des Geistes von Ticino Musica am letzten Abend des Festivals 2025, mit den großen Emotionen, die Blechblasinstrumente hervorrufen können, von meditativer Kontemplation bis hin zu Ausgelassenheit und Ironie.

Carte blanche to the brass: Great masters and young talents

The concert offers an immersion into the world of brass, combining the energy of established soloists with the fresh talent of young Academy students, accompanied by the prestigious Pucela Brass Quintet.

Frits Damrow, a professor at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with an international soloist career, Peter Steiner, a world-renowned Italian trombonist and winner of the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition, and Ricardo Carvalhoso, first tuba player of the Münchner Philharmoniker and currently a respected lecturer at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva, complete the trio of soloists. The Pucela Brass Quintet, with long concert experience, enriches the evening with a balanced and refined youthful sound. Alongside them are young musicians selected from participants in the Academy's brass masterclasses.

The concert program is the result of learning at the highest artistic level. A celebration of the spirit of Ticino Musica on the last evening of Festival 2025, with the great emotions that brass can give, from meditative contemplation to exuberance and irony.
